Description

Soir de Lune Contemporary art in perfumes

With Soir de Lune, Isabelle d’Ornano and her talented composer Dominique Ropion offer an elegant and unique fragrance, a touch of retro and so elegant that it does not rank anywhere, it is admired …

Moon Night or the artistic scented walk in the world of Sisley

The aesthetics of Sisley fragrances are so vast that it is extremely difficult to categorize them. This is how each of its perfumes creates an event, each of the fragrances has its story, its interpretation. For Soir de Lune, Isabelle d’Ornano let herself be drawn into a dreamlike and poetic artistic universe where only the beauty of the raw materials can touch the beauty of the sketches that the perfume evokes.

“Soir de Lune is a designer fragrance, inspired by a personal and artistic universe. Hubert and Isabelle d’Ornano draw their inspiration for Soir de Lune in a style of their own. It is from the colorful and avant-garde world of contemporary art, of which they are both passionate, that Sisley’s first gourmet floral chypre was born. Sisley for Moon Night.

Sisley therefore dares once again to offer us his intimate universe to offer his lovers a scent against the tide. A perfume which, between the embroidered sketches, would have taken more than 6 years to be born like the most successful painting of a painter. Besides, its visual and its advertising are also very artistic, the images sketched like the sketch of a painting evoke a dreamed Paris or a pictorial perfume. As if Soir de Lune were a painting that would have turned into a fragrance. Or the opposite?

Whatever the case, Soir de Lune moves, pierces or amazes but will never leave anyone indifferent.

The power of Moon Night in an insider scent Sisley

The pretty bottle of Soir de Lune could be seen as “lunar” by its round and full shapes highlighted by a thick glass. As for the sublime cabochon depicting the love between a woman and this so sweet moon, it was sculpted by Sisley’s favorite artist, Bronislaw Krzysztof.

Soir de Lune begins with a crystalline start of bergamot, tangerine and lemon. Then the spices and aromatics are offered like a multicolored farandole between nutmeg, chilli and coriander. The warmth of the opulent floral notes of its heart sweep us away in a whirlwind of Centifolia May rose absolute, mimosa absolute, jasmine, powdery lily of the valley and such precious iris. These beautiful, elegant flowers will be accompanied by a velvety and sweet hint of peach. This artistic evening walk will end in a woody and sensual fireworks display highlighted by sandalwood, patchouli, musk and cedar accompanied by warm honey.

“An insider’s scent, singular and romantic, rich and intense, Soir de Lune is a large, modern floral chypre. Sisley for Moon Night.

Released in 2006, “ Soir de Lune ”was born from the imagination of Isabelle d’Ornano. Poetic, the fragrance reflects the love of the Ornano couple for contemporary art. “Soir de Lune” tells the story of a love that only gives way to the heart of the moon. The warmth of “Soir de Lune” is suave, almost exotic and brings together a sumptuous floral bouquet, subtly chypre. “Moon Night” is a fragrance that surprises as much as it dazzles. This powerful chypre-floral accord is a composition signed by Dominique Ropion.

The talented perfumer Dominique Ropion dazzles us with Soir de Lune

To achieve a beautiful composition, Sisley called on one of the greatest perfumers, Dominique Ropion. After an internship at Roure where he weighed the formulas, Dominique Ropion decided to learn the profession of perfumer at the Givaudan perfumery school. He will join IFF (International Flavors & amp; Fragrances) in 2001, and he will achieve great success there. Dominique Ropion has unparalleled knowledge and he also has incredible knowledge of raw materials. Some say that he is “A great designer and an obsessive perfectionist.” We owe Dominique Ropion some very beautiful perfumes, including “Pure Poison” by Christian Dior, “Olympéa” by Paco Rabanne and “La Vie est Belle” by Lancôme.

Sisley’s bouquet of poetry : Soir de Lune

The start of “Soir de Lune” is tangy and dynamic, because it combines lemon, tangerine and bergamot. Mandarin is native to the Far East and its first traces can be found 3,000 years ago. Mandarin is a slightly flattened spherical fruit, orange in color. The tangerine owes its name to the color worn by the mandarins, high officials of the Chinese Empire. It was in 1850 that the mandarin was cultivated on a large scale. In perfumery, mandarin gives off soft, tangy and sweet tones. Then, the heart of “Soir de Lune” evolves towards an original combination of flowers, fruits and spices and combines rose, mimosa, peach, jasmine, lily of the valley, nutmeg and chili. / p>

With its golden pompoms, the mimosa illuminates our gardens in winter. Mimosa was brought to France from Australia in the 19th century by explorer James Cook. The town of Mandelieu-La-Napoule (Alpes-Maritimes) has become the capital of mimosa. Since 1931, in February, a big celebration has been given in honor of the mimosa. The latter is composed in the sun and it symbolizes magnificence, elegance and tenderness. In perfumery, mimosa gives off green, vanilla, honey and powdery tones. Finally, the base of “Soir de Lune” is intense and loaded with sensuality and combines patchouli, oak moss, sandalwood, white musks and honey for a touch of smoothness. The round bottle is both elegant and sober. The particularly majestic cap is the work of Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof, and represents an embrace between a woman and the moon …
