Description

Madly Kenzo: The oriental perfume by Kenzo

If the fragrance surprises us with its amber power, on the other hand the magical world of Kenzo propelled by Patrick Guedj sends us back to the powerful poetry, true emblematic signature of the brand. For Kenzo, the world is beautiful when it is a bit Madly …

Madly Kenzo, “The follies are the only things you never regret”

Since the beginnings of the venerable Kenzo fashion house in perfumery, the olfactory universe of perfumes as well as of advertising communications has been tinged with humor, poetry, and above all a great ray of positive sunshine on a world that Kenzo wants “beautiful”. “. Since the appointment of Patrick Guedj as artistic director, this adage is even truer. Because basically nothing will ever be too good for Kenzo!

With Patrick Guedj, flowers grow on concrete for Flower, elephants are adorned with gilding for Jungle and butterflies fly with their young lady to the sky for Madly. Madly’s young muse, Amber Anderson, sets the deliberately sparkling tone for this colorful Madly ad. The sweet madness of the young woman propels her up the trees to better fly in a cloud of a thousand colors of butterflies … Magic Madly!

It is therefore easy to understand that if Madly has deepened a few ambers, the tone remains light and the “ultra-sensual, daring, striking and recognizable among all “perfume is intended for a flowery and sparkling woman typically Kenzo.

A flight of oriental and sensual butterflies for an original Madly Kenzo

For once, Madly’s bottle will not be a stylized flower but a butterfly wing designed by Ron Arad, which r eminds us of the clouds of colorful butterflies landing on Kenzo haute-couture creations. . The elegant gradient of purple as well as the relief cutout of the glass give Madly an impression of lightness and almost permanent movement.

Aurélien Guichard, nose at the head of this very airy composition, offers us juicy and gourmet notes of pear and lychee spiced up by some pretty pink berries. At the heart, the pretty rose meets the sparkling and sweet orange blossom to blend better with creamy sunsets. Then the heliotrope comes to powder this pretty mixture while preparing us to welcome the precious sensual base notes. The depths of sandalwood, cedar and incense intoxicate us with their powers while surprising us with their rare presence in a Kenzo.

Madly’s wife is “free, unpredictable and happy.” One more daring by Kenzo who originally wanted to release this limited edition perfume. However, it seems that this perfume with beautiful qualities surprised as much as it seduced, which would perhaps explain its disappearance from the range offered by Kenzo.

“Madly Kenzo” was born in 2011 and symbolizes the boldness of the Kenzo brand. The “Madly Kenzo” woman is cheerful, inventive, spontaneous and most recognizable! In fact, “Madly Kenzo” is a floral fragrance that is both sweet and sweet. Here “Madly Kenzo” which means “Madly Kenzo” invites all women to be unreasonable. It is as if the Kenzo brand were whispering to them “The follies are the only things you never regret”. “Madly Kenzo” is inevitably the scent of a free woman, who shakes up conventions.

Madly Kenzo, an unreason signed by perfumer Aurélien Guichard

To create such a daring fragrance, the Kenzo house chose Aurélien Guichard as perfumer. It is said that Aurélien Guichard has the DNA of perfumery in his blood, since he represents the 7th generation of perfumers. A graduate of a DEUG in chemistry and of the prestigious perfume school, ISIPCA, Aurélien Guichard is the son of Jean Guichard, Director of the Givaudan school. About his father, Aurélien Guichard says, “I have a fantastic father. He is a great creator, but also a great person. He is a deeply human person who believes in people. I never got an added pressure or a sense of competition with him, or the idea that I had to do at least as well as him. ” Aurélien Guichard is a contemporary, creative, intuitive and sincere perfumer who puts all his heart into his perfumes. We owe him great perfumes such as “Ricci Ricci” by Nina Ricci, “Pleats Please” by Issey Miyake or “For Her, l’Eau” by Narciso Rodriguez.

Madly Kenzo, notes bold, yet ultra sensual scents

“Madly Kenzo” begins with the association of orange blossom with rose berries, thus showing the casual side of the composition. Rose peppercorns are considered “false pepper”. It owes its various appellations (Reunion pepper, Bourbon pepper) to Reunion Island where it originates. Rose berries are also cultivated in Peru. The false pepper gives off sweet flavors, even sweet at the start to become more aromatic, spicy and hot. Then, the heart of “Madly Kenzo” takes on floral tones thanks to the presence of heliotrope and rose, enhanced by notes of incense. Native to Peru, heliotrope has been cultivated in Europe for a century. Also called “Fleur des Dames”, heliotrope loves sun and heat. Heliotrope is known to have a truly captivating scent. Its flowers are white, blue or purple. In the language of flowers, heliotrope symbolizes attachment, especially friendship. In perfumery, heliotrope gives off floral, balsamic and suave tones. Finally, the base of “Madly Kenzo” is loaded with ultra sensual notes and combines vanilla, cedarwood, sandalwood and white musks. The curves of the bottle, in the shape of a drop of water, are as daring as the composition.
